“Among people there are no heroes,

just desperate men.”

James Wilson, one of the founding fathers of The United States of America

Irate men, desperate men, madmen… these are the kinds of people who we hope to attract here. Only those who are finally at their wit’s end will find the courage to say “enough’s enough.” It was only the chance meeting of two of these irate desperate men that led to the creation of Echuca Truthers. It was the result of two men who were sick of being ignored and sick of the ignorance of the masses. It was a release valve for the frustration of watching our country and our entire way of life being dismantled bit by bit right in front of our eyes.

We are not the first group of men who weren’t happy with the way things were going and decided to do something about it. Roughly two hundred and fifty years ago the Thirteen Colonies of America were engaged in all-out war with the largest empire the world has ever seen, Great Britain. I don’t pretend to be an expert on the War of Independence, but I do know that it was one of the greatest grassroots movements in history. As one of it’s brave leaders Samuel Adams said, it succeeded because of a “tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the hearts of men.” The founding fathers did not set out to be heroes and many of them would pay the ultimate price for supporting independence.

The constitution they drafted has survived every calamity that has faced the United States since it’s creation. Even under today’s relentless onslaught of anti-gun hysteria it will endure. There was a very good reason why the Founding Fathers put the right to bear arms and the right to free speech at the top of the list – these were the two fundamentals that allowed America to free itself from tyranny. It was in the taverns that the settlers could go to express their resentment for King George III’s increasing taxes and conspire to overthrow his iron rule. And one of the first things that the British did when the colonies started to agitate was attempt to confiscate their weapons. After many years of bloody war the newly independent Americans made sure not to let their descendants forget what it took to remain free – guns and free speech.

Interestingly, the first thing that Communist regimes do when they take power is restrict freedom of expression. Once they have achieved that they can begin their propaganda efforts about how they need to completely disarm the population to combat “enemies of the revolution,” and the citizenry will often submit with little to no resistance. Finally, once their subjects are silent and unarmed, the ruling despots can do whatever they please. As we saw in Mao’s China, Stalin’s Russia and Pol Pot’s Cambodia, the very next item on the menu is to wipe out the intellectual class. A dumb population is a docile population.

The Founding Fathers knew exactly how fragile freedom was and how easily it could all be stripped away. Right now the New World Order is trying it’s damnedest to do exactly that. One of their favourite tricks is to stage a fake massacre which throws the public into a frenzy about gun control. In many Western countries people have willingly handed in their weapons for the sake of national security, or at least that’s what they believe. We saw this after the Port Arthur massacre in Australia and the very recent Christchurch massacre in New Zealand. But no matter how many school shootings occur (genuine or not) and no matter how loud the media bangs the drum about gun control, The United States still maintains the largest unofficial army in the world of over 70 million gun owners. It is a fine tribute to the unofficial army which two hundred and fifty years ago threw off the chains of oppression and created America as it is known today.

Communist historians love to you tell you how “revolutionary” they were. The latest documentary on the popular internet movie service, Netflix, depicts Leon Trotsky as a hero. He was nothing less than a sadistic mass murderer. Mao Zedong offered false hope to millions of oppressed peasants but when he attained total power he killed those same peasants in untold numbers. Communism always entices the masses with it’s promises of a “worker’s revolution” and “equality” when in fact it creates the most unequal societies ever by abolishing private property and eliminating free markets.

True equality has nothing to do with blindly following a maniac into “Utopia.” True equality was when the Founding Fathers realised the extent of evil in this world and they endowed every citizen with their god-given right to fight against it. You are only as good as your ability to defend yourself. Freedom stems from the barrel of a gun.

“Year after year they said, ‘yes, he is arming himself.’ Yes, I’ve always done that. They also asked me before, ‘why do you have then the SA if you want peace? Why did you create the SS when, however, the only thing you want is fraternity?’

Because there are people who don’t want it! And I wanted to show them that I was prepared too for the other case.”
